Parikia, Paros island
|
Parikia: built roughly in the centre of the west coast
of Paros around a large sheltered bay on the side of the ancient
town of Paros, is the capital of the island, the main harbour
and the administrative and economical centre.
Parikia is a modern town, which charms its visitors with its
rich historical past.

There are several banks, a post office, health centers and
car hire.
Exploring the town we come across lots of tavernas, restaurants
and cafes, where tasty local and international dishes are served.
In the tiny streets around the old town's Castle and on the
beach road, there are all kinds of shops selling local traditional
products.
As soon as the sun goes down the nightlife begins and the fun
goes on into the early morning.

Beaches: Livadia (long sandy beach walking distance
from port), Krios-Marchello-Kaminia (reached by road and by
small boats), Souvlia-Parasporos-Agia Irini (reached by bus
or private transport)
